1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Lunaris CDN ("the Service") at lunaris.win or cdn.lunaris.win, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, visitors, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Lunaris CDN is a free, donation-funded content delivery network and file hosting platform designed for developers. The Service allows users to upload, store, and distribute files such as software installers, packages, and documentation via globally distributed CDN URLs.

The Service is provided free of charge and is sustained through voluntary donations from the community. There is no commercial relationship, subscription, or guarantee of continued operation implied by free use of the Service.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree to use the Service solely to host and distribute developer-oriented files including, but not limited to: software installers, application packages, compiled binaries, documentation archives, and related developer assets.

Permitted uses include:

• Hosting software releases, installers, and compiled binaries for your own projects
• Distributing open-source packages, libraries, and documentation
• Automating uploads via the API as part of a CI/CD pipeline for legitimate software projects
• Sharing versioned assets for use in README files, documentation, or release notes

4. Prohibited Content and Activities

You may not upload, store, transmit, or distribute any content or engage in any activity through the Service that:

• Contains or constitutes malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, adware, trojans, rootkits, or any other malicious code intended to harm, exploit, or gain unauthorized access to systems
• Is illegal under applicable local, national, or international law, including but not limited to content that violates export control laws, sanctions, or regulations
• Infringes upon any copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent, or other intellectual property rights of any third party
• Constitutes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors
• Is used to conduct phishing, fraud, social engineering, or any form of deception targeting end users
• Abuses the Service infrastructure through excessive automated requests, bandwidth abuse, or deliberate attempts to degrade service quality for other users
• Is used as a general-purpose media hosting service for personal photos, videos, music, or non-developer content (the Service is specifically for developer-facing file distribution)

5. Account Registration and Security

To upload files, you must register for an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including any API keys generated through the Service. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to refuse registration, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion.

6. Account Termination and Content Removal

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and remove any content at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including, but not limited to, violation of these Terms of Service. Grounds for immediate termination include uploading prohibited content, abusing the infrastructure, or engaging in any activity that harms other users or the Service.

You may delete your account and associated files at any time through the dashboard. Upon deletion, files may be retained in backups for a short period before permanent removal.

We also reserve the right to terminate or suspend the Service entirely, or to change, limit, or discontinue any feature at any time. As this is a free, donation-funded service, no compensation will be provided in the event of termination or service changes.

7. Data Handling and Privacy

Files uploaded to the Service are stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage with geographic redundancy. We collect minimal account information (email address, OAuth provider tokens) necessary to operate the Service. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Download metadata, including request counts and bandwidth usage, may be logged for operational purposes such as abuse detection and capacity planning. IP addresses of file downloaders may be processed by Cloudflare's infrastructure in accordance with Cloudflare's own privacy policies.

Files uploaded to the Service are publicly accessible by anyone with the URL. Do not upload files containing sensitive, confidential, or personally identifiable information unless you intend them to be publicly accessible.

8. Service Availability and No SLA

Lunaris CDN is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Because the Service is free and donation-funded, we do not offer any Service Level Agreement (SLA), uptime guarantee, or commitment to availability. The Service may experience downtime for maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen technical issues.

We strongly recommend that you do not rely on Lunaris CDN as the sole distribution mechanism for production-critical software without maintaining your own backup distribution channel. While we strive to maintain high availability through Cloudflare's infrastructure, no guarantee is made or implied.

9. Storage Limits and Quotas

Each account is provided with a default storage quota of 100GB and a maximum individual file size of 5GB. These limits may be adjusted at our discretion. Users who require additional storage beyond the default quota may request an increase by contacting us, subject to availability and review.

We reserve the right to impose fair-use throttling or rate limits on uploads, downloads, or API requests to ensure equitable service for all users.

10. Intellectual Property

You retain all ownership and intellectual property rights to the files you upload. By uploading content to the Service, you grant Lunaris CDN a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, cache, and serve that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

The Lunaris CDN name, logo, and platform code are the intellectual property of the Service operators. You may not use our branding without written permission.

11. No File Scanning, Inspection, or Verification

Lunaris CDN does not scan, inspect, analyze, verify, or otherwise review any files uploaded to the Service. We do not perform virus scanning, malware detection, content analysis, integrity verification, or any other form of automated or manual file checking before, during, or after upload.

Lunaris CDN operates as a neutral hosting intermediary. All files hosted on the Service are uploaded by third-party users, and the Service acts solely as a storage and delivery platform. We do not endorse, certify, guarantee, or assume any responsibility for the safety, authenticity, legality, or fitness for purpose of any file hosted on or downloaded from the Service.

You download and use files from Lunaris CDN entirely at your own risk. It is your sole responsibility to verify the safety, integrity, and authenticity of any file you download from the Service before opening, executing, or installing it. We strongly recommend scanning all downloaded files with up-to-date antivirus and anti-malware software before use.

Lunaris CDN, its operators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any damage, loss, or harm — including but not limited to data loss, system compromise, financial loss, identity theft, or any other consequence — resulting from downloading, opening, executing, or otherwise using any file obtained through the Service, regardless of whether the file was uploaded in violation of these Terms.

While uploading malware or malicious content is prohibited under Section 4, we do not actively monitor or enforce this prohibition through technical means. Users who discover potentially malicious files on the Service are encouraged to report them via our support channels for review and removal.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT FILES HOSTED ON THE SERVICE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES, MALWARE, OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY REGARDING THE SAFETY, RELIABILITY, OR ACCURACY OF ANY CONTENT UPLOADED BY USERS. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU USE THE SERVICE AND DOWNLOAD FILES AT YOUR OWN RISK.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LUNARIS CDN AND ITS OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, SYSTEM DAMAGE, SECURITY BREACHES, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, OR FROM ANY FILES DOWNLOADED FROM THE SERVICE.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, LUNARIS CDN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY HARM CAUSED BY MALWARE, VIRUSES, TROJANS, RANSOMWARE, OR ANY OTHER MALICIOUS CODE CONTAINED IN FILES HOSTED ON THE SERVICE, WHETHER OR NOT SUCH FILES WERE UPLOADED IN VIOLATION OF THESE TERMS.

Because the Service is provided free of charge, our aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed zero dollars ($0.00).

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
